Thirteen years after Xavier de Roquemaurel and his two partners revived the Czapek brand, it seems to be finally finding its sweet spot in watchmaking. Today’s Czapek is laser-focused on expressivity in watchmaking, maximising the use of its SXH5 in-house movement across various collections. This year, the Antarctique once again enjoys a fresh blue brushed dial in rose and yellow gold housing. But what has really captivated our attention are the Promenade watches, which remind us of early 20th-century Art Deco and mid-century Op Art movements. The Goutte d’Eau features a rich blue enamel dial using a chiaroscuro-style painting for a realistic 3D effect of a droplet creating concentric waves upon hitting the surface, radiating out from the 4.30 position where the escapement sits on the back of the watch.
