An unexpected partnership results in a spectacular watch for Hautlence

The artist known as Black Badger, James Thompson, first encountered Hautlence in a discussion for a collaborative timepiece with another partner. That project ultimately fell through, but brand manager Samuel Hoffmann saw an opportunity to work with Thompson on another project. The result is the Vagabonde X Black Badger, a 28-piece limited edition with a creative dial design characteristic of the artist. Thompson uses luminous elements in his work, exploring visual designs, colour, and more. He’s often referred to as the ‘Master of Glow’ thanks to the trademarked Badgerite luminescent composite that he uses in his creations. This material is what makes the Vagabonde X Black Badger come alive.
