Christie’s ventures into new territory with its retail offer for pre-owned fine timekeepers.

If you’ve headed to Christie’s site in anticipation of upcoming auctions, you may have noticed a little additional tab that says ‘Shop’. Clicking on it brings you to a miraculous pre-owned retail platform with loads of excellent vintage timepieces that are actually available and at a fixed price. The project is the latest from the auction house that hopes to capitalise on the surge of young and new auction bidders who have sought vintage timepieces but failed to win their choice bids. Instead, they can now head to the shop to see if there’s something there without having to wait for auction season.
