1. Many ski resorts don’t allow speedriding to take place – check your resort’s rules before taking off 2. Speedriding is very much centred in the European Alps where you’ll find plenty of schools. But check the local regulations: you need a licence in Switzerland, while in France it is regulated by the FFVL (www.parapente.ffvl.fr/pratique_speed_riding) 3. Speedriding can feel easier than it is and is highly adrenalised. This can lead to feelings of elation and over-stretching. Accidents can and do happen, so be prepared to rein yourself in.
