The Sky is on Fire

In January Horacio Llorens wowed the world with spectacular footage of flying the Northern Lights in Arctic Norway. Exclusively for us he reveals how he and his team did it.

It all started last summer. I was giving a conference in Ibiza for Red Bull about all the great adventures we’ve been on with Tom de Dorlodot and the Search crew. At the end of the seminar, I shared the Search Anthology clip which gathers together all the best shots of all our expeditions done so far: Pakistan, Africa, French Polynesia… a real visual treat! Once the conference ended, my friend Haakon, a Red Bull athlete manager for Norway, introduced me to his idea: film the incredible Northern Lights using a paramotor.
