Since its founding in 1924, Commonweal magazine has published scores of conversations with artists, activists, theologians, and other fascinating figures, from French philosopher Jacques Maritain and Pope Francis to Joyce Carol Oates and Martin Scorsese. The interviews in this collection reflect the breadth of Commonweal editors' interests and tastes over 100 years of continuous publication.
