The Scottish sea lochs hold a special place in my heart – especially around the Moray Firth and Spey Bay. That’s where I discovered the joy of fishing, though I wasn’t always convinced. For years, I turned down invitations, imagining fishing meant sitting under an umbrella in the rain with a bucket of worms. Eventually, I gave in – and I’m so glad I did. My first fish was caught under the guidance of a very proper old commander, who was both patient and encouraging. I’ll never forget the moment I reeled it in.
