Big Bert’s Big CB1300

I had a big, bad Honda CB1300 for about eight months between 2003 and 2004. And I loved it. The bike was surprisingly practical, but then it had to be for my daily 220-mile commute. This helped me rack up just under 10,000 miles in that time. The commuting showed that the underseat storage (12.4 litres) was incredibly useful. You could also get a U-lock under there and the £100 Honda flyscreen was a must for motorway speeds, making 90mph comfortable, officer. I took the bike on a long weekend break through France and Belgium and it toured well. I took just a backpack and some sports throw-over soft panniers.
