THE CORTINA’S NEXT ENGINE

It didn’t take Pete long to get itchy feet and he recently ripped the 186 bhp Zetec and carbs out of the Cortina. In its place he’s building an ST170 lump in the garage at home, where he’s completed every aspect of each build and all manner of running repairs. Moving away from bike carbs this time, the ST engine will be built up and breathing through a set of Jenvey ITBs to provide an even louder bark and make the Cortina the ultimate street-sleeping weapon. We’ll look forward to seeing what comes after the latest incarnation……
