Although James Dubray called himself a common man, to many of us of all colors and races he was friend, father, teacher, uncle, Spiritual leader, and most of all Grandpa.
The following words give you a glimpse of who he was and is. Because he asked his editor not to change his words and to keep the Lakota syntax, sometimes the words may seem confusing, less than grammatically perfect, or have double meaning.
