Alex Rodriguez BASEBALL SUPERSTAR Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona Alex Rodriguez called his Louisville Slugger C271L bat his “money maker.” No argument there: A-Rod raked in more than $441 million across his 22-year career. It’s notable that his 34-inch, 32-ounce, black-lacquered club is also decidedly small for a home-run hitter. Compare it with Babe Ruth’s 36-inch, 46-ounce bat, which he called “Black Betsy.” Or take the 36-inch, 41.5-ounce model used by Lou Gehrig. Rodriguez has said that a small bat was suitable for his big hands, but when it comes to cigars the New York native prefers them big, namely the Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona. The Dominican slugger from Washington Heights sticks with the Havana cigar, which has been his go-to smoke since he played golf with Michael Jordan in 2000. That…
