The toro size (also known as corona gordas in some circles) has emerged as the most popular size in American cigar shops. Longer and a bit fatter than most robustos, they offer bang for the buck, while maintaining a manageable dimension you just don’t find in an ultra-fat cigar. Half the toros we reviewed scored 90 points or higher, topped by the Rocky Patel Conviction Toro at 94 points. This Nicaraguan smoke caused people to take notice upon its release due to the high price point—$100 for a single cigar.
