Just a few hours’ drive north you will find an unexpected and extraordinary destination—the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wis. Cited as “a gem of a museum” by The New York Times, the Arts Center offers engaging exhibitions, concerts, and art activities for all ages, all free of charge. On Thursday evenings through August 18, enjoy the free Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series on the Arts Center’s Festival Green. Music genres change weekly, ranging from bluegrass to roots rock to soul to Bollywood, but the family-friendly atmosphere remains the same. (Note: There are no concerts July 14 and 21.)
