Chaine shows his final prowess

Sipho Chaine wrote his name indelibly in the annals of the MTN8 after his heroic display allowed Orlando Pirates to run out victors against the hitherto unbeaten Mamelodi Sundowns at Moses Mabhida Stadium in the final on Saturday. After 120 minutes of play failed to produce a goal, it was left to the lottery of penalties to decide the winner of this season’s MTN8, and goalkeeper Chaine had the final say as his heroics saw Pirates win 3-1. Chaine saved Sundowns’ first three spot-kicks and the Sundowns camp, including coach Rulani Mokwena, looked at one another in disbelief at being denied by such prowess.
