"You're going to love it." Anytime Mom tries to convince us (mostly me) to try something new, like asparagus or a dress, she says, "You are going to love it!" This time, "it" is Camp Lewa. Jess and Liz, 10-year-old identical twins, are headed to Camp Lewa in Maine. Jess is nervous about being away from home, making new friends, and trying new activities like dance and hunting for frogs. But she has Liz, and Mom and Dad have promised they will be in the same cabin. It isn't until she gets to camp and finds out she is in Teals and Liz is in Cuckoos, that she realizes she is going to need to do new things on her own, for the first time. Without Liz, Jess discovers oatmeal, archery, how to pee anywhere, how to make the perfect s'more, and that making new friends is the best part of camp. Together, Jess and Liz they discover the power of being a twin, and of learning to be friends as well as sisters.
