Den 63-årige skuespiller Tammi Øst har høstet stor anerkendelse for sine mange præstationer. Nu prøver hun for første gang kræfter med en decideret musicalrolle.

– Altså jeg har jo sunget hele mit liv, pointerer Tammi Øst. Hun har da også været med i adskillige musikforestillinger — blandt andre “Jeg er jo lige her” med Anne Linnets største hits på Det Kongelige Teater. Tammi Øst har faktisk også medvirket i “Matador”-musicalen i 2007. Her spillede hun rollen som Elisabeth Friis, mens hendes mand Jens Jørn Spottag spillede rollen som Mads Skjern. Tammi Øst medgiver dog, at den store rolle som Norma Desmond i musicalen “Sunset Boulevard” er en ny oplevelse. Andrew Lloyd Webbers ikoniske musical sættes op med Den Jyske Opera og Aarhus Symfoniorkester i Musikhuset Aarhus 12.-20. august, Rollen som Norma Desmond i musicalen, baseret på storfilmen fra 1950, er tidligere spillet af blandt andre Glenn Close. – Jeg tænker da over det, og jeg har heller ikke sunget med…
