Time is a jet plane, it moves too fast. So goes a song I’’m rather fond of, and it’s true, isn’t it? It doesn’t seem like five minutes ago that I was sitting down to write my editor’s letter to welcome in 2017, and now I’m doing one for 2018. But as I get older, I realise that the milestones of your life aren’t measured out so much by the number the year has attached to it, so much as what you do with your days. If you’re a cyclist – by which I mean, not just someone who rides a bicycle but someone who finds meaning and pleasure in riding a bike – it strikes me that searching for new places to ride, and new experiences to sample in…
