PLAN YOUR ATTACK Heading out from Melbourne, the closest of the 7 Peaks is Lake Mountain (around 2.5hrs drive) and that can be paired with nearby Baw Baw for a weekend of action. The northerly quartet of Mt Buffalo, Falls Creek, Mt Hotham and Dinner Plain can be completed over a week-long break once the 3.5hr trip from Melbourne has been made. Mt Buller sits alone between these two groups, but could be combined with either if you plan accordingly.
