What is Lamborghini’s fastest car?

Of the current Lamborghinis in production it really depends whose numbers you believe – so let’s go for the Sián. This Aventador-based hybrid will, courtesy of a combined 774bhp and four-wheel drive, accelerate from zero to 62mph in a time that Lamborghini describes as “under 2.8 seconds”. So approximately 2.79 seconds, then? And the top speed? According to Lambo, it’s “more than 217mph”. So… 218mph, then? The fastest ever Lamborghini was the venerable Veneno of 2013–2014, which featured an earlier version of the Sián’s 6.5-litre V12 and produced a heady 740bhp. Thanks to a kerbweight that was 150kg less than the Sián’s, the limited run Veneno had a top speed of 221mph. That performance came at a price though – the 13 cars built had an RRP of £3.3m each.…
