Koenigsegg’s new limited run hypercar is a birthday present for the big boss

Koenigsegg’s new car looks just like its oldest. Welcome to the CC850, a 1,363bhp hypercar with a manual box, clothed in the timeless design of the firm’s first production car, the CC8S. It looks just as fresh today as in 2002. The CC850 also celebrates boss Christian von Koenigsegg’s 50th – just 50 will be built and he’ll get the first. And they’ve sold out. It’s clothed around the Jesko’s carbonfibre monocoque with double wishbones front and back and adjustable dampers all round. It also gets the Jesko’s twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8, which sounds incredible, and on regular fuel will pump out 1,169bhp. You’ll need E85 for the full 1,300+bhp and 1,020lb ft of torque. Amazingly, that power is harnessed through a simulated six-speed manual, with three pedals to play with.…
