Join our hunt for lovely objects located in the popular summer constellation of Lyra

1 Stephenson 1 Lyra represents a harp-like instrument, the stringed part being a distinctive diamond pattern hanging southeast from brilliant Vega (Alpha (α) Lyrae). The northern side of the diamond is marked by Zeta (ζ) and Delta (δ) Lyrae. Delta marks the position of the open cluster Stephenson 1, also known as the Delta Lyrae Cluster. Delta is double, orange Delta2 (δ2) being the star associated with Stephenson 1. The cluster is fairly sparse and easy to overlook, but thanks to Delta2's wonderful colour contrast with blue-hued Delta1 (δ1), this is a fantastic part of the sky to photograph.
