Victorian poop scoopers If I'm ever having a bad day at work in future, I'll take solace in the fact that I'm not a 19th-century ‘pure finder’ – a job that consisted of collecting dog poo from the streets to aid in the production of leather (page 45). 3. Playing with fire I've had some pretty wild Scrabble sessions over the years but nothing to compare to the Victorian parlour game Snapdragon, where competitors had to pluck (and then eat)…
