"Why are you writing this book?"
I couldn't remember being asked that question so directly.
Because in third grade I wrote an assignment about my future and said I would become an author?
Because I'm stubborn?
Or maybe because I carted around a pack-pack full of books, even before learning to read?
That's all part of it.
But the truth I quickly arrived at: books are magic.
One sentence on the page of a book can change your life.
Writing has gotten me through the darkness.
If one sentence makes you feel seen, if one sentence makes you think, then the goal is complete.
Like any good twenty-something, I found myself heartbroken and lost.
These writings are the inner workings of a woman who needed healing.
Back to Me is how it went.
