You’ve been there since the very beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Has it been fun to track Pepper’s evolution? Gwyneth Paltrow: It’s interesting. Pepper and I have taken a very similar parallel journey in a lot of ways. In the first Iron Man movie, she was in a much different place in her life. She’s really come into her own throughout the course of the movies as a leader. In some ways, I caught up to her, and she caught up to me. I hold Pepper very close to my heart.
