Williamson to make British GT debut

BRITISH GT Former McLaren Autosport BRDC Award winner Lewis Williamson will make his British GT Championship debut this year alongside James Cottingham as 2 Seas Motorsport enters the series full-time. Williamson, the 2010 Award winner, raced with 2 Seas in the Gulf 12 Hours last year aboard a McLaren 720S GT3. The 32-year-old Scot will now race with the Anglo-Bahraini squad in a Mercedes-AMG GT3, the same model with which he won the 2018 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup Pro-Am title. “For me it’s a great opportunity with the way everything has gone over the last two years [with COVID-19],” said Williamson. “To be racing in the UK is great and I’m really grateful for the opportunity to be back in the Mercedes this year. “The team themselves, when they commit to things they…
