FERRARI IN ART THE SPORTING LEGACY “Look with your eyes, not with your hands,” is what this Autosport writer’s mum used to say to him when he was young. She didn’t want her son leaving grubby handprints all over the place. Formula 1’s official artist Mark Dickens, however, wants you to do the exact opposite. He and renowned F1 photographer Keith Sutton have created a collection of 25 paintings entitled ‘Ferrari in Art – The Sporting Legacy’ to celebrate the manufacturer’s 70th anniversary. Each is made up of fabric, resin, paint and even gold leaf. Dickens wants the viewer to reach out and feel the textures hanging on the wall.
