The British GT Championship has been shouting about its record entry recently, and rightly so. Seven marques across 15 entries are set to be represented in the top GT3 category during 2019, while the figures for GT4 are a whopping eight manufacturers and 23 cars. Given that the Balance of Performance is now well established, despite the occasional misstep or moan, that should provide plenty of variety at the front for both classes. Once again, the championship contests are likely to be close and will probably be taken by the pairings that have the strongest and most consistent ‘amateur’ drivers. But amid all the good news, there’s a detail worth noting. For the first time in over a decade there will be no Ginettas on the grid. While not a name as illustrious…
