SPRINT
The 2019 Crystal Palace May Bank Holiday sprint has attracted an unprecedented number of entries as it returns after a year’s absence, and to its traditional late-May slot.
Sevenoaks and District Motor Club has held the sprint since 1997 using a course that includes part of the historic Crystal Palace Park circuit. Last year’s event was cancelled due to a number of problems, some of which stemmed from moving the 2017 sprint to August.
This year’s sprint takes place on May 26 and 27 and has already received 153 entries – the most it has ever had two months out – and the club anticipates that 110 cars will participate on either day.
The 2017 event had 65 entrants on the Sunday and 90 on the Monday.
