BRITISH F3 MotorSport Vision chief executive Jonathan Palmer is confident that BRDC British Formula 3 will be allowed to retain its name, both for the coming season and from 2020 when the championship plans to run to the FIA’s Regional F3 technical regulations. Regional F3 launched in Asia in 2018, and an Italian-organised Formula Regional European Championship is being run this season. British F3 organiser MSV weighed up a move to Regional cars for 2019, but opted to retain the current Tatuus-Cosworth car for the season.
