If you were a new viewer tuning in to watch ABB FIA Formula E on BBC 2 for the first time last weekend, you witnessed all of the electric championship’s greatest hits in one event. The Hong Kong race will ultimately go into the history books as a first FE win for Edoardo Mortara and for his Venturi team, but a host of things had to happen before that was confirmed. So, let’s start oh so conventionally with the beginning: the build-up last Friday. This was dominated by one topic, which, delightfully for British viewers and readers, was the weather.
