Kimi Raikkonen’s return to the team that gave him his big Formula 1 break isn’t the first case of a driver making a comeback. Here are five other instances when winning drivers returned for a second and successful stint at a team:

JUAN MANUEL FANGIO Maserati After two years with Maserati when the world championship was run to Formula 2 regulations in 1952-53, in which he took one win and was nearly killed in a shunt at Monza, Fangio returned to take a triumphant title in the heavily revised Maserati 250F in 1957. He started his final grand prix for Maserati at Reims in 1958. NIGEL MANSELL Williams After his Ferrari adventure turned sour, Mansell ‘retired’ from F1, only to be lured back to race for Williams in 1991. Having fought for the title during his time there from 1985-88, he won the 1992 title before heading off to Indycars.
