What is it? A new range of customised Seiko automatic watches from Matthew Humphries, former chief designer of the Morgan Motor Company. Each is personally reworked by Humphries and his partner, Penelope Jordan, using high-quality components. Why do we like it? It gives buyers access to a line-up of more individual watches that use well tested components. Some — the ‘MHD 04’, for example — also have a particularly appealing face. You can commission a customised watch, too, if you want to. Is it worth it? You’ll pay upwards of £220 for an MHD watch. The base watch only costs about £50, though, so you’re paying a hefty premium for a more personal choice. Reputable rivals like TW Steel also offer similar-styled watches at a lower price.…
