Bristol council set to ban all diesel cars from city centre

Hugo_Griffiths@dennis.co.uk @hugo_griffiths DIESEL cars are set to be banned from the centre of Bristol by a blanket policy that will see the cleanest Euro 6 models treated in the same manner as older, more polluting diesels. Under plans ratified by Bristol City Council, privately owned diesel cars will be forbidden from entering an area of the city centre between the hours of 7am and 3pm. The affected area covers the main city centre, and also takes in part of the M32 motorway. Drivers taking a diesel car into the zone during its hours of operation will be fined.
