It’s easy to be intimidated by all the mindbending cameras technology we now have at our fingertips. But what if you just want to know how to take better images? Here’s where the APS can help. The cameras we use today are nothing like the ones we had 15 years ago. Consider the Canon 300D, which came to market in 2003. With a 6.3-megapixel CMOS sensor it was marketed as one of the first DSLRs for amateur photographers. The price? $1,799. Today, you can buy one of Canon’s entry level DSLRs with a 24.2-megapixel sensor, the 200D, with a lens, for around $800.
