A new book publisher is turning traditional business models on their head by harnessing the net and crowdsourcing images direct from the Australian photographic community. Here’s how to get your work in print, 21st Century style.

“I came into some money three or so years ago and I thought, well, I could either pay off my house and live comfortably or I could do what I’ve always wanted to do, publish photo books and lose lots of money,” laughs Ian Kenins. “And so I decided to do the latter.” It may sound like folly, but with a background in journalism and an enthusiastic photographer to boot, Kenins was probably better placed than most to give it a go.
