Bushfire forecast

The devastating fires in the Adelaide Hills earlier this summer destroyed homes, sheds, livestock and the dreams of many residents. It was reported that several classic cars were also damaged. This dramatic front page photograph from Adelaide’s Sunday Mail newspaper (January 4 edition) shows what was left of an FJ Holden, part Alex Demchenko’s collection from Humbug Scrub. Demchenko said he was bitterly disappointed to lose his house and six cars but was thankful his wife, son and fox terrier, Tessa, had all survived. Bushfires are a big worry for owners of classic cars in rural areas, as scientists warn that fire events will increase in the foreseeable future.…
