Alcohol wasn’t the only thing flowing at the Attitude Pride Awards 2019 in association with United Airlines and Sleepeezee – teardrops were on tap, too. One of the most cherished dates in our diary, the ceremony has a beating heart behind it as we champion LGBTQ people with extraordinary stories of bravery and resilience, and those standing up to prejudice, whatever form that may take. Hosted by the fabulous Dr Ranj Singh, we were joined at London’s Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park by a gaggle of friends and allies, including former Olympic swimmer Mark Foster, pop star Pixie Lott and human rights activist Peter Tatchell. After the presentation, guests were treated to cocktails (courtesy of Slingsby, the Spirit of Harrogate) in the hotel’s sumptuous sun-trap of a garden. A day filled…
