Interviewing Yvie Oddly, the latest wig-snatching winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, proved to be a real pain in the neck. Or rather, I had a real pain in my neck while speaking to one of the show’s most creative, kooky and, of course, bendy queens. After punching in the digits for our phone call, I reach for my cup of tea, turning my head at an incredibly awkward angle (think a mangled Meryl Streep in Death Becomes Her) and trigger an almighty, wince-worthy twinge. Needless to say, the stolen swig of Earl Grey was not worth it. But laughter, they say, is the best form of medicine and I was dosed up to the eyeballs with the stuff by the end of my conversation with Yvie, who regularly let rip with her…
