Francesca and her Mamma and Papa live on a farm in Italy with chickens, sheep and a much-loved donkey named Asinella. The sheep graze high up on a hill and Asinella protects the sheep while they are grazing. In the spring, Papa and Francesca go up the hill to bring Asinella and the sheep home.
Eight baby lambs have been born! They are too little to walk down the hill by themselves. How will they get home?
