The purpose of this project is deeply rooted in the desire to offer a sense of history and knowledge to aspiring artists, enabling them to discover artists they may not have known and find their paths based on a solid understanding of those who have come before. "Artistic Legacies" is a coloring book series acknowledging the hard work and contributions of artists while also providing a platform for individuals, families, children, and the community to engage with and learn more about the rich history of African American artistry. The coloring book is a tribute and testament to the fact that acknowledging and celebrating our creative pioneers is an integral part of our artistic evolution.
