"Around the World in Sixty Years: The Experiences and Wisdom of a Generation of Gentlemen from Argentina to Zimbabwe" is a non-fiction book created by retired journalist John S. Wolfe.

The book comprises 101 profiles of gentlemen about 60 years of age from 65 countries across the globe. Each participant filled out a questionnaire about life at 60 -- their families, work, fears, advice, and notable events in their country in their lifetime.

It is a fascinating array of profiles across six continents. Among the countries represented are Morocco, Nepal, Turkmenistan, Finland, Iceland, Panama and Fiji. Of particular interest are the accounts of life for gentlemen behind the former "Iron Curtain" -- Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia -- and the participant in Vietnam. They share their experiences since 1964.

The general theme of the book is that we have more in common than in conflict.

The book was inspired by an around-the-world cruise taken by the author and his wife in 2023. They traveled west from England for 100 days, passing through the Panama and Suez canals and visiting 19 countries.

The book boasts a number of photos by the author plus panorama shots from photographers around the world.

Another feature of the project is the "Now It's Your Turn" questionnaire at the back of the book. Recipients are invited to fill out the questionnaire just like the gentlemen in the book, sharing their life experiences and wisdom with their families.
