Tyra Kleen föddes för 150 år sedan i år och reste hellre ut ensam i världen än att stå i skuggan av en man. Elsa Beskow, även hon född 1874, var ett verkligt geni som dessutom försörjde sin familj med sina barnböcker. Egentligen ville hon vara en ”riktig” konstnär och det var hennes man Natanael som var den tidens kändis. Så sent som 1958 gnällde Olof Lagercrantz att Elsa Beskow var ”vanlig som käringtanden och okomplicerad som en rödbeta” och ”aldrig borde…
