NÄR MORMOR OCH MORFAR GIFTE SIG 1946 lär det ha funnits en enda servis att köpa i hela Värnamo. Lätt val alltså. Servisen var från Hackefors, gräddvit med guldkant, diskret men vacker. Tur för dem att den var fin, och tur för mig eftersom den nu står i mina köksskåp. Jag tänker ofta på de unga tu som gjorde en rejäl investering i den där servisen, och hur löjligt billig den nu är på loppisar och stadsauktioner. Ekonomiskt värde: litet. Affektionsvärde: högt. Jag blir förtvivlad när jag råkar krossa en tallrik från mormors servis. När någon annan gör det blir jag oproportionerligt rasande. Men visst är det också någonting särskilt med att ha sönder gamla saker, även om det inte är arvegods? I somras hittade jag de perfekta fruktbesticken från…
