HEM TILL GÅRDEN

För 15 år sedan ärvde Monica Liljedahl den vackra Hälsingegården där släkten har samlats i över 330 år. Tack vare omsorgsfull renovering och ett stort intresse för byggnadsvård ser hon till att gården lever vidare för kommande generationer.

I Hälsingland började bönderna bygga stort och med påkostade rum för fest redan på 1600-talet. Under årens lopp byggdes fler och ännu större gårdar – inte minst under 1800-talet. På dessa gårdar kunde det finnas upp till 15 inredda rum, men det var bara några få som användes till vardags. De andra rummen nyttjades vid speciella tillfällen, exempelvis vid bröllop och fest. En av dessa praktfulla gårdar tillhör Monica Liljedahl. I slutet av en trädkantad allé ligger hennes röda hälsingegård med tillhörande lador, härbren och boningshus. – Jag ärvde gården av min mamma som i sin tur ärvde den av sin pappa.
