Today, the term, “concealed weapon,” is usually meant to refer to a handgun or similar weapon that is carried on one’s person when they are out and about. However, having a weapon at the ready in the home should be a priority, as well. The stereotypical solution is a shotgun by the door; but, in some situations, that can be dangerous and ill-advised.
For one, those with small or inexperienced children should not leave any firearm so readily accessible. An even bigger concern is that a weapon left out in the open could be easily turned on its owner. In these situations, no good comes from leaving a firearm in the open.
In fact, many would argue that the absolute best place for any arsenal is in a good gun…
