En vacker sommardag gick mot sitt slut. Min väninna och hennes sambo slog upp tältet på ön Grinda i Stockholms skärgård. De hade badat i havet och ätit på det gamla värdshuset med glittrande utsikt mot fjärden. Nu skulle det bli skönt att bädda ner sig i sovsäcken. Men hon hade svårt att somna, något var fel. Hon mådde illa och snart kom frossan. När hon gick ur tältet skakade kroppen, hon kunde knappt stå upp. Vad är det som händer? tänkte hon. Åt jag något konstigt? Då såg hon att det gamla skavsåret på foten hade blivit rött. Det gick strimmor från såret och hon erinrade sig något om blodförgiftning. Kan det vara det? Nu kom paniken. Hur ska hon komma till sjukhuset, hon är ju på en ö…
