Båda mina föräldrar var alkoholister

Jag visste aldrig hur det skulle vara hemma när jag kom hem från skolan. Att ta hem vänner var det inte tal om. Det här är min berättelse om hur det var att växa upp med två alkoholister.

Min pappa var periodare, det vill säga att han tog till den spritluktande flaskan under vissa dagar. Det kunde gå 3–4 veckor innan vi la in honom på ett behandlingshem för alkoholberoende. Väl hemkommen var han nykter igen, men jag visste att om ett par månader skulle han vara tillbaka hos flaskan igen – hans bästa vän. Jag är yngst av en syskonskara av fem flickor – Mona, Aina, tvillingarna Elin och Lisa och så jag, Christina. Min mamma började inte dricka förrän jag var runt fem år. Då omfamnade hon också flaskan som sin bästa vän. Det gjorde ont i hjärtat, men jag visste att jag kunde vända mig till mina syskon för hjälp och tröst.
