Jag grät efter min son varje natt

Ett bombdåd fick Najiba Mansouri att fly för sitt liv från krigets Afghanistan. I Sverige kände hon sig ensam och ledsen, men insåg att hon behövde göra något för att få tillbaka glädjen. Det ledde till att hon startade ett projekt som hjälpt tusentals utlandsfödda kvinnor och barn in i det svenska samhället.

Najiba Mansouri är född och uppvuxen i Afghanistan. Hon bodde där tillsammans med sin son Shoaib och sina föräldrar. – Jag var lycklig med min familj, studerade idrottsvetenskap och arbetade som padagogisk koordinator, där jag anordnade flera aktiviteter för kvinnor och barn. Jag har alltid älskat att jobba med människor och brinner för att hjälpa andra att utvecklas, säger Najiba när vi ses på Sandvikens bibliotek. Var och varannan person kommer förbi och säger hej. En äldre kvinna ser att vi gör en intervju. Hon säger: ”Najiba är hundra procent. Allt hon gör för oss kvinnor här i Sandviken är hundra procent. Hundra procent”.
