The story behind Bonnie the Little White HorseI was laid on my daughter's bed one evening with my beautiful daughter Bonnie-mae when she looked deep in to my eyes and asked if I could fetch a good night story to read to her. I was also very tired and it was getting late, so I asked her to try and sleep but, Bonnie being Bonnie, we both knew, one way or another, there would be a story. Bonnie asked again for a story "please daddy" so I suggested it may be fun to tell her a story of our own that I would make up as we went along. I begun the story Bonnie the Little White Horse knowing how much she loves her pony Jenjen. Bonnie stared deep into my eyes and was mesmerised as I created the story for her until eventually she fell asleep. The following night Bonnie-mae asked to go to bed for Bonnie the little white horse which filled me with joyknowing she had enjoyed my story, so I tried my best to repeat it for her. The following day, whilst at work on a building site, I decided I was going to write her a book, so I read it through in my head over and over again and when I eventually returned home I spent a considerable amount of time typing away at it. Eventually after weeks of altering pages I was happy with it and set out to find an illustrator. I was very lucky to find Jane, a local artist, who also knows my children and was thrilled to be invited on the journey as we set out to publish our book. During this time my son Harvey-lee asked if I could create a story book for him, so I got to work on Harvey the Big Green Dragon, as he is Bonnie-mae's big brother. These books have been an exciting experience for myself, my children, Jane and our families. Our children love to read them so we hope you and your children can enjoy them as much as we do.
