This memoir is about the internal conflict I've dealt with since growing up in the Mid-Atlantic States with a mother who loved the arts and a father who became entranced with the rugged beauty of the wild West. While I'm in one place for any length of time I miss the other-the climate, the people, the place. Navigating the distance between Montana and the East Coast has certainly given me an appreciation for the culture in both places, but it has also left me feeling not completely "at home" in either.
